(22 March 2018, Hong Kong) Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship. UAT has been recognized as the Caring Company for 10 consecutive years in demonstrating a caring spirit to promote corporate social responsibility.

The Caring Company Partnership Expo 2018 was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday, 16 March 2018. 3,697 companies and organizations were awarded the Caring Company logos/ Caring Organization logos, indicating more of them are willing to take up the responsibility to care for the community.

During the event, Mr. Tony Cheung, our General Manager, interacted with various NGO practitioners and stakeholders, exploring community partnership opportunities and further strengthening the partnerships and formulation of CSR plans.

Throughout the years, UAT has been committed to the implementation of corporate citizenship in caring for the employees, environment, and community. Recently, we have launched the Employee Caring Program with initiatives of the caring committee, training and development, work-life balance, family friendly, and reward and recognition to optimize employees, the most important asset of UAT.

In sustaining the environment, UAT adopts environmental protection practices including ISO 14001 Environmental Management accreditation, green office and partnership, carbon emissions reduction, and recycle, reuse and reduce policies. We foster the integration of corporate volunteerism with NGO partnership to support the children and youth, elderly, rehabilitation, and ethnic minority services, building a cohesive society with stakeholder collaboration and sustainability.
