Interaction in the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2016 Sharing Luncheon

(1 August 2016, Hong Kong) Earlier, Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) has organized the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2016 Sharing Luncheon to introduce the environmental insights in Hong Kong and Pan Pearl River Delta region. UAT, the Eco Partner, participated in the event and interacted with environmental leaders from various industries.

Aiming to promote environmental practices among the manufacturing and services enterprises in Hong Kong and the Pan Pearl River Delta region, the FHKI joins hands with Bank of China to organize the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards Programme.

The Sharing Luncheon was organized at the Exhibition Hall of FHKI on Friday, 29 July 2016. Officiating at the event was Professor Daniel Cheng, Chairman of FHKI. Award winners including Hongkong Electric Company, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited, and Kai Shing Management Services Limited shared their environmental experience and implementation to over 50 representatives from various organizations.

In 2015, UAT was praised as the Eco Partner in recognizing the completion of Paper Saving and School Environmental Promotion Projects. Environmental protection is now a pressing worldwide issue. The accreditation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System provides UAT a guideline to commit to protecting the environment and ensuring that all potential impacts are identified and managed in a responsible manner.

The same principle also applies to all internal process and procedures. These include the monitoring of waste discharges, campaigns, and activities to enhance environmental awareness among employees. UAT is dedicated to the implementation of energy conservation, pollution control, waste management, and green procurement, working towards to a green, sustainable Hong Kong.
