UAT is praised in the Prize Presentation Ceremony of the 2015/16 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme

(2 November 2016, Hong Kong) Entering the twentieth year, the implementation of family friendly practices is one of the highlights of UAT's Employee Caring Program. This dedication has been recognized by the Family Council as a Family-Friendly Employer and with the Awards for Breastfeeding Support.

Launched in 2011 by the Council and the Home Affairs Bureau, the biennial 'Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme' aims to recognize the employers who uphold the family-friendly spirit, and encourage employers to continue to put in place family-friendly practices and measures, so as to raise employers' awareness of the importance of family core values, and foster a pro-family culture and environment.

The ceremony was held at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, 25 October 2016. Mrs. Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor, GBM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration, officiated at the ceremony and presented the opening speech in promoting family core values, engendering a culture of loving families and creating a general pro-family environment.

Praised as the Family-Friendly Employer and awarded the effort of Breastfeeding Support, UAT understands employees are shouldering family commitments like taking care of their parents and children. Family friendly culture facilitates the sense of belonging for improved morale and stakeholder relations and reduced turnover.

The family-friendly employee practice cultivates family core values in managing their family commitment and fostering the interaction between employees and employees, families and families.
