UAT in the 2014 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony

(15 May 2015, Hong Kong) To recognize businesses and organizations in adopting green management and green innovations, the Business Environmental Council has organized the 2014 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE) Scheme. UAT is awarded the Certificate of Merit of SMEs in Servicing Industry under the Sectoral Awards in promoting environmental practices and management.

The HKAEE is led by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) alongside the Environmental Protection Department. It is one of the most prestigious environmental award schemes in Hong Kong, with the aims to encourage businesses and organizations to adopt green management and recognize their commitment towards environmental protection.

The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 14 May 2015. It was honoured to have the presence of the Honorable Mr. C. Y. Leung, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Honorable Mr. Wong Kam Sing, the Secretary for the Environment, as the officiating guests of the Ceremony.

The Sectoral Award is to recognize organizations which have demonstrated all-round and outstanding environmental performance within designated sectors. Environment, employee, and community are the focuses of UAT on corporate social responsibility. The accreditation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System provides a guideline to ensure that all potential impacts of operations on the environment are identified and managed in a responsible manner. Employees strictly follow internal processes such as energy conservation, air emissions and pollution control, waste management, green purchasing, and environmental training and activity to work towards a green, sustainable together.
