(6 August 2015, Hong Kong) Recently, Airport Authority Hong Kong has appointed UAT to supply, deliver, and install digital signage at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), increasing passengers' awareness of latest retail offers and enriching their overall shopping and dining experience.

In East Hall, Terminal 1, ten 40-inch digital signal panels with display standing cases in thin form factor, aesthetically pleasing and consistent in look and feel with the current design of Terminal 1 are deployed. Brilliant HD images and 700cd/m2 brightness showcase multimedia retail information including new shops and restaurants, latest shopping and dining offers, and POS promotion impressively. The panels feature low power consumption and low heat emission for 24 x 7 operations.

The stability of digital signage panels of height 1,850mm is essential to maintain the safety under horizontal imposed load from passengers and luggage bags. UAT carried detailed structural calculation and justification for the adequacy of the panel base steel plates.

HKIA is the world's busiest cargo gateway and one of the world's busiest passenger airports. To cope with the capacity with around 1,100 daily flights, UAT followed the requirement in installation between 00:00 to 06:00 in 2 days. It conducted product testing and assembly before delivery and site clean-up and disposal after installation to maintain the convenience for passengers.

At UAT, we are dedicated to customers, to the quality of products and services for their best communication and operation efficiencies.
