UAT receives HSBC Living Business Awards 2013

(4 December 2013, Hong Kong) UAT receives the Certificates of Excellence at the HSBC Living Business Awards Presentation Ceremony held on Monday, 25 November 2013 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in recognition of its commitment to people caring and community engagement.

The HSBC Living Business Award is an annual program organized by HSBC, supported by the Business Environment Council, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, and the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. Entering its ninth year, the program has a thematic focus on incorporating sustainability values into business operations along their supply chains.

Officiating at the ceremony were Mr. Albert Chan, Head of Commercial Banking of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited; Miss Annie Tam Kam-lan, Permanent Secretary of the Labour and Welfare Bureau, and Ms. Christine Fang, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. UAT is pleased to attain Certificates of Excellence of People Caring and Community Engagement Awards in recognizing its business responsibility to staff and community support.

UAT regards employees as the most important asset and is dedicated to an integrated, diversified, and safe working environment. This year, UAT joins hand with NGO partners, penetrating CSR projects including the Newly-arrived Family Scheme with SKH Lady MacLehose Centre, Table Tennis Training for Children with Evangel Children's Home, and more.

To operate and excel as a corporate citizen, UAT aligns all business activities along the values of sustainability concept by encouraging and empowering employees, monitoring and reviewing its performance regularly.
