(3 July 2013, Hong Kong) Recently, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has appointed UAT to design and deploy audio visual and video conferencing systems for the modern conference room.

Established in 1984, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is a leading tertiary institution in performing arts in Asia. It provides professional undergraduate education and practice-based postgraduate studies in Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music, Theatre and Entertainment Arts, and Chinese Traditional Theatre.

Cultural exchange connects the cultural life of different countries and fosters cultural collaboration. Efficiency in communication accelerates ideas sharing. The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has appointed UAT to design and deploy audio visual and video conferencing systems for the conference rooms.

Each conference room has been equipped with Polycom HDX 7000 Series HD Video Conferencing system, Camera and Table Microphone along with the Sharp 60-inch plasma screen to display the HD video, audio, and content. Polycom HDX platform enables joint video conferences with other institutions with its interoperability with other video conferencing systems.

Incorporating the truly immersive audio quality for voice and video conferencing, UAT helps deploying the Polycom SoundStructure in fine sound tuning, noise cancellation and feedback reduction. With the iPad with AMX Central Control System, the Academy can simply control over video conferencing systems, audio conferencing systems, displays, recorders, projectors and microphones through tailor made programming and user interfaces.

Video collaboration provides a multi-cultural environment to share academic knowledge across geographical locations, which in turn increases the expertise for art development. In administration areas, increased use of video conferencing has led to faster decision making, improving communication, and reducing travelling costs.

UAT continually works with educators to create the best comprehensive portfolio of integrated audio visual and video conferencing solutions to dissolve the physical boundaries of learning environments, foster interactive education and cultural exchange.
