UAT has been awarded Caring Company Logo 2011/2012 by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of our effort to promote corporate social responsibility. The Caring Company Logo is administered by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), a non-governmental social service agency with the mission to sustain and develop social service by providing concrete support and solution for companies in Hong Kong. The council fosters cooperation between business and social service organizations through the Caring Company Scheme. The scheme aims at motivating corporate citizenship in three major areas including Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees, and Caring for the Environment.

UAT participated in the Caring Company NGO Partnership Day 2011/12 which held on 3 May 2012 (Thursday) at Hall 3F & 3G of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). In this occasion, we found it was fruitful as we exchanged our vision towards social responsibility and explored a couple of partnership opportunities running community projects with other Caring Companies and Caring Organizations.

In the future, UAT will continue to organize and actively participate in various CSR activities under the leadership of its CSR Committee, in order to fulfill its commitment to stakeholders and society.

'Our management philosophy is straight forward. Employee is always our biggest asset and we support happiness-at-work. As an employee, satisfactory remuneration is of utmost importance to take care of the family. UAT offers rewards to employees. Should their family members need special care, we encourage employees to take care of their family members and even offer urgent subsidies,' said Mr. Tony Cheung, General Manager of UAT.

Employees may feel embarrassed to state voice out in official environment. Our management will get to working site to offer a helping hand and take the chance to have meals with the workers. Very often the employers will present their viewpoints and suggestions in informal manner.

UAT strives to build the trust between the management and workers. Stable income, efficient communication, and corporate social responsibilities are the key factors in enhancing the level of happiness-at-work at UAT.
