UAT receives awards in Happy Working Environment and Photo Competition

(17 June 2014, Hong Kong) In enhancing employees' morale and building a happy working culture, the Promoting Happiness Index Foundation and the Hong Kong Productivity Council jointly organized the Happiness-at-work Index Scheme. UAT received awards in Happy Working Environment and the third winner of photo competition.

The ceremony was organized on Friday, 13 June 2014 at a presentation, with Mr. Irons Sze, Vice Chairman of the Promoting Happiness Index Foundation; Mr. Gregory So, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the HKSAR Government and Mr. Clement Chen, Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council as the guest-of-honor. Other officiating guests included Mr. Edward Chan, Chairman; Mr. Dennis Ng, Vice Chairman; Mr. Roy Chung, Vice Chairman; Mr. Johnny Yeung, Vice Chairman and Ms. Helen Chan, Director of the Promoting Happiness Index Foundation and Ms. Agnes Mak, Director of the Hong Kong Productivity Council.

In this year, 202 Happy Companies and 18 Happy Organizations were praised. UAT, together with UAT Association, are glad to be the awardees, implementing caring, wisdom, resilience, and dynamic. 'We Care. We Practice', a photo taking in the Rickshaw Race in the ACCA Community Day, won the third winner award in the photo competition.

Mr. Tony Cheung, our General Manager, said, 'Through the Scheme, we hope to identity ways to improve employee happiness and satisfactory at UAT.' He continued, 'We found that trust between the management and employees, fairness, good communication, efficiency, and corporate governance are essential to enhance the happiness-at-work level.'

UAT regards employees as the most important asset and is dedicated to creating a happy workplace. While providing a safe working environment, training and potential development, and work-life balance, we cherish the achievement together with our employees.
