Mobile Video Conferencing and Cloud

(24 April 2012, Hong Kong) The technology of Cloud provides a mature environment for central storage, memory, data processing, and bandwidth. Mobile and Cloud now extend to video conference to create communications without boundaries.

UAT helps service providers to deploy Polycom RealPresence Cloud which encompasses a fully managed multipoint video service and supports a multitude of connectivity options between standards-based room, mobile, PC, and web-based endpoints, as well as Microsoft Lync 2010, IBM Sametime, and endpoints running on the non-standard TIP protocol.

UAT equips service providers as well as end users with carrier-grade infrastructure, endpoints, and services to quickly turn complicated technology to immediate operations for video collaboration. Through Virtual Conference Room concept, participants can join meetings by using either room based video conferencing system or mobile devices anywhere. As long as their devices connect to internet, they can interact each other face to face.

In the International ICT Expo 2012 organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, UAT showcased mobile devices which fully integrate with cloud video conferencing at the booth and let visitors have real experience.

In the seminar session, Mr. Thomas Tin, Technical Manager of UAT, as one of the keynote speakers in the 'Business Opportunities on Cloud and Mobile Apps' seminar, shared the knowledge of video conferencing applications. He also demonstrated the mobile video conferencing on smartphone and desktop PC and connected them to room based and virtual room video conferencing cloud. This live demonstration was the highlight of the seminar.

In the award ceremony section, UAT was honored to receive two awards, the Best Green Solution Award and the Best Super Brand Award. UAT will keep up with the industry standard and best practices and will continuously provide value-add solutions to customers with premium services.
