UAT is praised as the Hong Kong Green Organization

(2 March 2016, Hong Kong) More and more organizations incorporate environmental practices in their operations. Recently, UAT is praised as the Hong Kong Green Organization, recognizing the efforts and commitments to the environment in building a sustainable future and ensuring that our future generations can continue to thrive in a sustainable environment.

The Hong Kong Green Organization Certification is led by the Environmental Campaign Committee alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organizations, namely, in alphabetical order, the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Business Environment Council, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers' & Exporters' Association, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and the Hong Kong Productivity Council.

Since the accreditation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, UAT has implemented the procedure to ensure that all potential impacts of operations on the environment are identified and managed in a responsible manner. Employees strictly follow internal processes such as energy conservation, air emissions and pollution control, waste management, green purchasing, and environmental training and activity to work towards a green, sustainable workplace together.
