Extron RGB 198
The Extron RGB 201 Rxi is a universal, analog computer-video interface with audio that includes a female 15-pin HD input connector and a buffered local monitor output. The RGB 201 Rxi is able to convert computer-generated, unbalanced audio to stereo or mono balanced line level audio, and has 30 memory locations for recalling resolution/frequency signal settings. It is also equipped with Extron's Enhanced Advanced Digital Sync Processing (ADSP™) technology to ensure compatibility with digital displays such as DLP, LCD, D-ILA™/LCoS, plasma, etc. and a Digital Display Sync Processing (DDSP™) DIP switch to bypass sync processing and horizontal and vertical centering. The RGB 201 Rxi is ideal for classrooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms that require only one input.
With a 15-150 kHz scanning range and 300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth, the RGB 201 Rxi is compatible with nearly every computer-video signal, including VGA–QXGA, Mac, Sun, and SGI. Optional adapters for Mac to VGA and SUN/SGI to VGA connection are available. It is housed in a compact 1U, half rack width rugged metal enclosure and can be rack or under-desk mounted.
Features
Input: RGB video on female 15-pin HD connector; audio on 3.5 mm stereo mini jack
Output: RGB video on female BNC connectors for RGBHV, RGBS, or RGsB; audio on captive screw connector
Compatible with VGA-QXGA, Mac, Sun®, and SGI® signals
300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth
Active PC audio to balanced audio interfacing — Converts computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced line level stereo or mono audio for output on a captive screw connector.
Mounts under table, podium, or other flat surface — Mounting brackets provided; also available optional through-desk mounting kit, or mounts in 1U rack space using optional rack shelf.
Audio summing (DIP switch selectable) — May be used to convert stereo audio to mono.
Two-position level/peaking (DIP switch selectable) — Boosts and equalizes video signals to compensate for signal loss and high frequency attenuation that occur in long cable runs.
Horizontal shift control — Shifts the displayed image left or right on the display screen. Also called "horizontal centering".
Buffered female 15-pin HD local monitor output
Digital Display Sync Processing (DDSP™), DIP switch-selectable — Allows the sync signal to pass through without altering sync pulse or width. Disables other sync processing features such as horizontal and vertical centering.
Openings for up to four Mini Architectural Adapter Plates (MAAPs) — Extron MAAPs are compact mountable metal plates that provide pass-through connectors and control modules to maintain a clean and efficient A/V system design. (MAAPs sold separately.)
Two front panel unswitched AC outlets — RGB 198: Edison (USA); RGB 198 EU: Europlug.
