Polycom VC2 transforms traditional video conferencing into visual communication. With VC2, video is a pervasive component of enterprise communication - on desktops, in meeting rooms, on mobile devices.
How can VC2 Help?
-
Video is intuitively integrated with familiar applications and tools, allowing users to share knowledge and collaborate more effectively
-
IT departments manage video as a controlled application on the IP network, enabling simplified deployment, provisioning, and management
-
Enterprises vastly increase the effectiveness of communications with customers, partners, and employees by leveraging the clarity and high impact of video.
According to Wainhouse Research Bullentin Vol.9 Issue 18, Polycom will be unveiling its VC2 vision for next generation conferencing and collaboration solutions at the InfoComm Asia 2008 Hong Kong in November. The foundation of VC2 has four legs, according to Polycom’s management: simplicity, scalability, security, and extending the HD experience. All of these elements are intended to bring visual communications into the enterprise core; eliminating the legacy of having video as a stand alone, isolated environment in the enterprise. Polycom announced that it will be showing the first wave of some VC2 developments, including an enhanced TPX telepresence solution, 1080p video, and an LPR-enhanced RMX 2000. The news that really rings our chimes! |
