The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR) is a government recognized charitable organization established in 1959. The Seal of HKSR embraces the legend of the vibrant phoenix which foretells a bright future for people with disability, overcoming their impairments to rebuild their lives. The lively and vigorous phoenix also expresses the values of the Society: dynamic, committed and farsighted.
Officiating at the AGM were Mr. Ng Hang Sau, CEO; Mr. M B Lee, President; Mr. Benny Cheung, Chairman and Professor Jonathan Sham, Honorary Secretary of HKSR. Thanks Ms. Carol Yip, JP, Director of Social Welfare, The Government of the HKSAR in delivering the keynote speech on 'The Development of Rehabilitation Services in Hong Kong'.
Throughout the years, UAT supports HKSR in providing sustainable volunteerism, sponsorship, and donation, including elderly home visits, outing activities with the disabled in the Ocean Park, Flower Show, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, Chi Lin Nunnery and various fund-raising campaigns.
